Description
The Alocasia, often called Elephant Ear, is a striking tropical plant known for its bold, arrow-shaped leaves with prominent veins. Native to Asia and Australia, it thrives in warm, humid environments. Indoors, it can grow anywhere from 1 to 4 feet tall, depending on the variety, making it a dramatic focal point in any space.

LIKES: Prefers bright, indirect light and high humidity. It enjoys warm temperatures and benefits from occasional misting to keep its leaves vibrant.
DISLIKES: Doesn’t tolerate cold drafts or dry air. Overwatering can lead to root rot, while prolonged dryness may cause leaf edges to crisp.
HEALTH BENEFITS: Helps filter airborne toxins and increases humidity, contributing to a healthier indoor environment.
WATERING AND FEEDING: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. During the growing season, feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2-4 weeks for optimal growth.
LIVING WITH PETS AND CHILDREN: Toxic if ingested, so keep it away from pets and small children. Its sap may also cause skin irritation.
